Hi. The other half of
Krummer here.
Let's talk about friends for a minute and see if we are good friends to others. Lol.
First of all, I just wanted to say how thankful I am to have Kristen. She and I have a bond that NO ONE can break, no matter how hard they try. It will be forever. We are sisters. We love each other unconditionally. We are open and honest with our feelings - good and bad. We just work. We don't replace the other best friends in our lives, we just add to them. She is the peas to my corn. (I hate carrots, so I am corn). HAH. Ok, on with the post.

You see, Sunday night was the Super Bowl and if you don't know me here's a little info:
Die.hard.Saints.fan since 1977, my year of birth. Enough said.
So, my love for the Saints cannot and will not be interrupted. Seriously! Adam cut his finger, and I gave him a bacon bandaid and told him to get out of the way of the tv.
So, I'm watching. Its the beginning. I'm serious and nervous and I get a text message from Kristen and a few others all saying Who Dat! But then this text rolls on in from my dear friend Rachael. She writes this: hey. I need to talk. can you call me?
Ok. Rachael is about the strongest woman ever. She doesn't need advice so something is very wrong and to text me during the football game...she knows better. I sit there in silence.

First thought: I hope she's ok.
Second thought: The Saints are playing in their first Superbowl.
Third thought: What if it's really bad and I have to excuse myself in front of all of my guests? Who will hostess?
Fourth thought: She needs me. I start to look through my contacts when a text pops up and I read - just kidding!

First thought: You lil weasel! I oughtta...
Second thought: Thank God it was a joke!
Third thought: Geaux Saints!
So, what's my friend rating? I mean, have you ever had something similar happen where your mind was playing a ping pong match? Was I a good friend or a bad one? Do you drop everything when your friends need you? I really do try to but during the Superbowl game when the Saints FINALLY made it!?

i saw 'corn and peas' and thought this was a post about pooping...
i would have ping ponged too--i mean, it's reggie bush!
Love this! And I do it all the time. A) I hate talking on the phone and B) I'm a total multitasker so I always try to weigh out how many things I can do at once. :)
LOL I am with Tiffany girl! When I seen the corn and peas I was like oh no she is soo gonna talk about poop LOL....
I would have ping ponged too---i mean, HELLO it's Drew Brees playing in the Super Bowl....
xoxo
Summer :0)
Corn = Severe gastric disturbances.
So glad this post wasn't about that!
definitely "ping ponged" before...glad your girl was just joshing you!!
Friend rating I would say an "8"
Anyone would have done the same thing if there team was playing...
I probably would have been a horrible friend and text back and asked if she was okay... and that I would call her in a few mins! =)
I love peas and corn....umm and carrots too, sorry lol ;)
you two are fabulous friends. an unbreakable bond, always. Nobody can come between. NOBODY!!!
I probably would have called back....after the game. Haha. Nah, I'm a sucker, I would have called right away.
Oh gosh, I think I would have been going through the same battle! Thank goodness it was a joke! haha
Ahahahahaha! I totally wasn't expecting that but kudos to her for pulling it off!
I don't think that you're a bad friend at all for that though. I would have definitely went back and forth like you did. My first thought was to send a text that says, "Is everything OK?" You know, just to double check. Then, if it's like a dire need to talk to me, I would probably talk...while watching the game! :)
hahahahahaha that is sooo funny!!! And no, definitely not a bad friend :)
LOL. You are the honest one...we all have felt that way; just too scared to admit to it. :)
She texted you during the superbowl game? The horror! Haha. Just kiddin mrs. b...you know i love to tease you. Heart you and your krummer bond. May nothing ever come between you two.
You are something else... and there is nothing you could ever do (even ping-ponging during the Super Bowl) that would make you anything less than the most amazing friend ever!!!
cutest earrings ever!
love the krummer duo and bond...you ladies share something that is hard to find and even harder to keep...
and um.your friend is hilarious...as a ref i call no moving friendship violations...no penalties...no foul...just a supa silly gal i heart!
haha I love your honesty and I think you're a great friend! Since I'm not a fan of the phone in general I probably would have texted back first then called. Though my equivalent would be like the Series Finale of The Office or LOST. haha.
love it. you guys are great friend!
you're still a great friend. I'm sure that ping pong match would have ended with you calling her. But good thing it was a joke! Go Saints! So glad your team won!!
Bahahahahahhaha...I absolutely love this post because I have found myself in similar positions as well and always wonder if I'm being a good friend.
Ha ha, that would be tough if I were in that situation...good thing she was just makin' sure! :P
That is too funny! Glad she was just teasing you and nothing was wrong.
I am sure you would have called...at the next commercial!?
In my mind, I would think "If it was THAT important, they would have called, not texted"
ha.
Glad it was just a joke though! :)
ANd congrats on the win! :)
Who couldn't heart the Krummer duo! Love you ladies :)
Hehe funny funny that Rachael is, she SO knew she got you!
hhmmm well since it was the saints playing i would have TOTALLY called her...lol. i kid!! i kid!! but i know what you mean...sometimes its a hard call, but i think if we lead with our heart then we're ok...besides...i know you're an awesome friend!
